Linda Donegan, CPA

Author of the book “VIPdocs," Linda believes organization is paramount to understanding how finances operate. Proper organization and documentation add to the knowledge base of family members. In addition, this organization lends itself to helping a family when a crisis occurs. Linda wrote VIPdocs when a good friend lost his sister in an unfortunate accident. Her friend was devastated and that was compounded by the complexity of “handling” the sister’s affairs. Her friend had to go through dresser drawers,  scan the mail, search through closets, explore cloths pockets, search end tables and generally conduct a hunt to find all the financial records needed. Upon seeing this Linda decided there had to be a better way to help people help their loved ones in times of emergency.

VIPdocs was written in 1990, and has been revised and rewritten on a regular basis. Initially offered to church parishioners Linda has sold the book at Southern Women’s Shows, Florida Home shows, and through giving speeches and appearances.

Finally, this system is available through internet purchase.Linda received her first BSBA at the University of Central Florida with a major in Marketing with a minor emphasis in Management. She followed up her education with a BSBA from UCF in Accountancy with a minor emphasis in Finance. She gained her CPA certification in Florida in 1983. Linda is active in her church and enjoys being involved in various charity functions. A rare "Florida native," Linda was born in Miami and grew up in Orlando. She lives with her husband, Dennis, and together they enjoy golf, swimming, and travel.
